I am a graduate of the University of South Wales, where I earned a First-Class Honours degree in BSc (Hons) Computer Forensics. I have gained extensive experience in various roles within the cybersecurity field, primarily focused on Blue Team operations. Most recently, I have been serving as a SOC Team Lead for a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP).
My career began in 2018 after graduating from the University of South Wales. I started as a Digital Forensic Analyst at a private DFIR company based in Wales. During this time, I gained invaluable experience and developed a strong foundation in digital forensics, which I thoroughly enjoyed .
In 2021, I like to think my security journey ‘officially’ began. Starting my career at ThirdSpace (now Kocho) provided me with a wealth of opportunities to gain knowledge and experience in the cybersecurity field. I began as a Tier 2 SOC Analyst, a role I held for just over two years, where I honed my skills in threat detection and response. After this, I was given the opportunity to step into the role of Team Lead within the SOC. This position allowed me to develop my leadership skills by mentoring and guiding other analysts, all while remaining actively involved in daily Blue Team operations. This experience further solidified my passion for cybersecurity and my commitment to continuous learning.
My current passions include continuously developing my skills in the Blue Team field, staying informed about the latest security threats and trends, and exploring different areas of cybersecurity. Recently, I’ve started diving into the Red Team path during my spare time, as I’m eager to broaden my knowledge and enhance my overall skill set.
